Electrodermal Activity

Data Type: Electrical Skin Conductance

Stationary Capability: Various Suppliers

Electrodermal activity (EDA) is an electrical signal produced by changes in the skin’s electrical resistance and conductance as the function of the skin’s sweat glands changes. It is used to measure the level of arousal. Electrodermal activity is closely related to emotions, arousal and attention. Emotional excitement, stress, fear or anxiety will increase the secretion of sweat glands, sweat on the skin surface will lead to increased conductivity, thereby enabling the electrodermal activity to rise.
